"Well... wow, I'm struggling to find words right now. Incredible. We love every single image, it's beyond anything we imagined. Thank you so much. We're so glad we found you."

Budapest is my home. Not just in the sense that I live here, but in the sense that I know this city inside out. I know how light falls on the stones of Fisherman's Bastion on a September morning. I know when the sun reaches the top of the Chain Bridge pillars. I know what an autumn evening looks like below Gellért Hill when the fog has settled on the Danube but the Parliament lights still break through it.
That is why my photographs here are not accidental. I know the city, and I think that shows in the images.
Budapest is a special wedding location, not only because it is beautiful but because it is contradictory. The Buda side is quiet, heavy, historical. The Pest side is vibrant, eclectic, a little chaotic. The Danube divides them but also connects them. Whoever marries here gets all of that duality as a backdrop.
As a documentary photographer, that is exactly what I love about Budapest. Nothing needs to be constructed. The city itself offers the frames, the light, the accidental perfection — I just have to be present and wait for the moment when the couple has completely forgotten the camera.
I work at elegant hotel weddings, intimate garden ceremonies in the Buda hills, ruin bars where plaster falls from the walls and that is somehow perfect, and churches where the silence is almost tangible. Budapest is suited to everything. If you are planning your wedding here, I would be glad to be your photographer.
Why Budapest?
Pest and Buda, two sides of the Danube
Pest is vibrant, urban, a little chaotic. Buda is quiet, green, natural. A Budapest wedding can have either as its backdrop, or both. My work shows both faces of the city.
The patina
Budapest is not a smooth surface. The plaster is cracked, the stone worn, the walls layered. This gives photographs character; context and depth. In many cities you have to search for this. In Budapest, you just stop.
Every style belongs here
Ruin bar, castle, civil registry, garden terrace. Budapest gives context to any wedding style without feeling forced. The city doesn't put you in a box.
Everything is close
Budapest is compact. The ceremony, the photo walk, and the reception are rarely more than twenty minutes apart. This leaves more time for what actually matters: the day, the people, the moments.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a wedding photographer in Budapest cost?
Prices vary depending on experience and what is included. I work with full-day documentation from morning preparations to the evening reception. Contact me for a quote. Every wedding is different.
Which Budapest venues do you work at?
Everywhere; churches, civil ceremonies, hotel ballrooms, ruin bars, garden venues, palaces. Budapest is so diverse that no style feels forced.
How does documentary wedding photography work in practice?
I am quietly present throughout the day; observing, waiting, shooting when the moment forms naturally. I do not ask you to stand here or look there. The goal is images that show what actually happened.
When is the best time of year for a Budapest wedding?
Autumn (September–October) and spring (April–May) offer the most rewarding light. But every season produces beautiful images. The connection between the couple matters more than the season.
Do you cover the full day from ceremony to the party?
Yes, this is my default approach. Full-day documentation means nothing is missed; from the morning excitement through the ceremony, portraits and celebrations until the party winds down.
Do you also work outside Budapest?
Absolutely. Budapest is my home but I work across Hungary and throughout Europe. If you are planning a wedding at Lake Balaton, Tokaj, or anywhere else, get in touch.
