The approach
I'm a documentary photographer.
That means your day appears in the images as it actually was.
Not as it was posed.
Why Budapest?
Pest and Buda, two sides of the Danube
Pest is vibrant, urban, a little chaotic. Buda is quiet, green, natural. A Budapest wedding can have either as its backdrop, or both. My work shows both faces of the city.
The patina
Budapest is not a smooth surface. The plaster is cracked, the stone worn, the walls layered. This gives photographs character; context and depth. In many cities you have to search for this. In Budapest, you just stop.
Every style belongs here
Ruin bar, castle, civil registry, garden terrace. Budapest gives context to any wedding style without feeling forced. The city doesn't put you in a box.
Everything is close
Budapest is compact. The ceremony, the photo walk, and the reception are rarely more than twenty minutes apart. This leaves more time for what actually matters: the day, the people, the moments.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a wedding photographer in Budapest cost?
I work with full-day coverage, from the morning preparations to the evening reception. For a quote, get in touch. Every wedding is different, and I can give you an accurate figure once I know the details.
How does documentary photography work in practice?
I'm quietly present and don't direct events. I don't ask you to stand here, look there, or smile. I watch, wait, and shoot when the moment forms on its own. The goal is for the images to show what actually happened.
Do you photograph the full day, from ceremony to reception?
Yes, that's my default approach. Full-day coverage means nothing is missed. From the morning excitement, through getting ready, the ceremony, all the way to the end of the evening. Those late-night images are often the most honest.
Which venues in Budapest do you work at?
All of them. Churches, civil registry offices, hotel ballrooms, ruin bars, garden venues, castles. Budapest is so varied that no style feels out of place.
What's the best time of year for a Budapest wedding from a photography perspective?
Autumn (especially September and October) and spring (April, May) offer the most rewarding light. But beautiful images are made in winter and summer too. The most important factor isn't the season. It's the connection between you.
Do you work outside Budapest?
Budapest is my home, but I work at Lake Balaton, Tokaj, the Mátra mountains, the Danube Bend, and anywhere in Europe. If you're not planning a Budapest wedding, get in touch and we'll check whether your date is free.
How do I book my date?
Send a short message with the date and venue. If the day is free, I'll get back to you within 24 hours and we'll sort out the details.
